Written by Tim Lockie | September 4, 2020

What does a growing organization with tons of demand leverage technology to communicate with stakeholders and board members? If you are NiM client Downtown Boxing Gym (DBG), you leverage a Salesforce Community!

Now IT Matters was pleased to partner with DBG to build the Salesforce Community and to assist with the demo. To view the Salesforce demo, see the video below! The demo includes a quick view of:

DBG was featured in Salesforce’s Leading Through Change Virtual Event Series on August 17, 2020. DBG, founded by Khali Sweeney in 2007, is a nonprofit that serves Detroit students and turns out champions — not just in the ring — but in school and in life.

We invite you to view the full Leading Through Change video here to hear DBG founder Khali Sweeney and Executive Director Jessica Hauser share their experience with supporting children and families through educational programming, recreation, and providing a safe community space. They provide their experience with re-opening during COVID-19 and how they are pivoting their services to provide safe and fun programs and support for their constituents.

PS: You won’t want to miss the performance from Mayer Hawthorne at the 45:00 minute mark!
